I’d like to thank the students, staff and the community for the warm welcome to my new school. You’ve all made me feel right at home. Thanks again! Construction: If you haven't noticed, the clearing of the property adjacent to Townsend Elementary has begun. Construction vehicles are using the other side of the property to come and go so there have been no conflicts with parking and traffic flow here at T.E.S.. Students are currently holding recess in the bus loop. An interim grassy area will be set up shortly. This area will hold us over until the new playground is set up. Car Riders: I’d like to thank you for your patience and understanding with our new policy that requires parents to come in to the library to sign out students who are being picked up. I realize this is an inconvenience, but feel that this procedure is the safest for our students. We have over 100 students and two more buses. This adds to the traffic in the front of the building. Know that we work to make the process as smooth as possible over the next few weeks.
